What counts as a qualified appointment?
A useful appointment starts with clear criteria before anyone sends the first message.

An appointment is easy to count when the only question is whether something appears on a calendar. It is harder to count well when the business needs a conversation with the right person about the right problem.
That is why the definition should come before the campaign.
Start with the company.
Decide which businesses fit the offer. Geography, company type, team size, and the problem being solved can all matter. A company outside the agreed market should not become a qualified appointment simply because someone accepts an invitation.
Define the buying contact.
The relevant contact depends on the offer. An owner, department leader, or another agreed buying contact may be appropriate. The title should connect to the reason for the meeting rather than serve as a decorative detail on the prospect list.
Look for business relevance.
A relevant conversation does not require the prospect to have committed to buying. It should have a genuine connection to the product or service being discussed. The qualification process should make that connection understandable.
Confirm explicit agreement.
A sent calendar invitation is not the same as an agreed appointment. The prospect should know the purpose, date, time, and expected next step. Booking should follow the conversation rather than replace it.
Separate booking from attendance.
Booked and attended meetings answer different questions. Track both. Also agree on how cancellations, no-shows, duplicates, and reschedules affect the delivery count. That prevents the same meeting from becoming several reported wins.
Make the handoff useful.
The sales team should know why the prospect agreed to speak, what was discussed, and which need or question made the meeting relevant. A name and a time slot provide less context than a short, accurate handoff note.
Before launch, write the criteria in language both teams can use. A qualification definition is useful when it helps people make consistent decisions during real conversations.
At WayneFlow, the campaign scope defines appointment qualification and counting before delivery is measured. The goal is a calendar that reflects relevant business conversations and a reporting process that makes the count understandable.
